Prices of all fuels should have been hiked together: Shankar Acharya
Shankar Acharya, member, board of governors and professor, ICRIER, says that while the hike in petrol prices is good news, it should have been accompanied by some adjustment in the prices of diesel, LPG and perhaps even kerosene. He says doing the hike in two parts, first petrol and then other fuels, is not a good idea as it allows resistance against the hikes to build up adds to uncertainty.
