'Private Party For The Whole World': Boon Or Doom For Yamuna?
The truly massive Art of Living World Culture festival has begun on the banks of Yamuna, an event that is meant to bring in 35 lakh people in three days. While the Prime Minister says we have to be proud of our heritage, Sr Sri Ravi Shankar has said that this is a private party for the entire world. But it was touch and go at one stage. Sri Sri Ravi Shankar was ordered to pay Rs 5 crores by the Supreme Court's Green Bench for the damage and Art of Living told the court that all they could pay immediately was Rs 25 lakh, the balance of the money will come later. But the big question remains - this can be a private party for the while world but is this a boon or in fact doom for the Yamuna?

A 75 year old Wing Commander, part of the OROP mission, is picked up from his bed at night by the police and taken away for alleged financial misappropriation of funds. The two leaders of the OROP movement including Major General Satbir Singh get anticipatory bail. Is this a straight forward corruption case or is it, as has been alleged, a game of deep infighting within the veteran community, something that has effectively killed One Rank One Pension as a protest?
