Problem of perception with Muslims: Arun Jaitley to NDTV

At a time when the BJP is clearly reaching out to minority communities ahead of the 2014 elections - Narendra Modi saying he regretted the 2002 Gujarat riots under his watch and BJP president Rajnath Singh offering an apology - speaking on NDTV's show Political Roots, party leader Arun Jaitley says the problem of perception with the Muslim community lies in the fact that conventional political parties treated them as instruments of power and that the community was only used for identity politics.
