Protest against dam on Ganga grows
About 37 days ago, Professor G D Agarwal pledged a fast unto death in the Capital. He has been protesting the plans to dam the River Ganga in Uttrakhand, a move he says would divert so much water into tunnels that 60 kilometres of the river will be left just with a trickle.
