Protesters Celebrate South Korea President Yoon's Impeachment Verdict

Crowds attended a celebratory rally in central Seoul on Friday after the South Korean constitutional court decided to formally unseat President Yoon Suk Yeol. The court unanimously removed Yoon from office Friday, ending his tumultuous presidency and setting up a new election, four months after he threw the nation into turmoil with an ill-fated declaration of martial law. Hundreds of anti-Yoon protesters gathered in Seoul, holding bright placards calling for democracy and singing songs in jubilation in response to verdict.
