Protesters Flood Trump Tower, Demanding Release Of Mahmoud Khalil
Scores of people poured into lobby of Trump Tower in New York on March 13 to protest the arrest, detention of Columbia University student Mahmoud Khalil. The arrest of Khalil, who is in immigration custody in Louisiana has sparked an outcry by Democratic lawmakers. At least 150 protesters gathered at Trump Tower, the New York Police Department estimated. Demonstrators carried placards that read "Fight Nazis not students" and "Free Mahmoud Free Palestine".
