'Proud Of Him': Colonel Santosh Babu's Family To NDTV
Colonel B Santosh Babu from Telangana laid down his life for India in the violent face-off with the Chinese in Ladakh's Galwan Valley. The clashes took place just as Chinese troops were getting ready to move away from a location, as per an agreement that was part of the recent talks between the two sides to defuse tension. The Colonel was reportedly assaulted with stones, after which Indian soldiers retaliated. The soldiers disengaged after midnight. The parents of Colonel Babu told NDTV they are proud of him.
