A total of 128 Padma Awards have been announced this year. The list comprises four Padma Vibhushan, 17 Padma Bhushan and 107 Padma Shri Awards. Among those honoured with Padma Bhushan is India's star para-athlete Devendra Jhajharia. Forty-year-old Jhajharia is a two-time Paralympic gold medallist in javelin throw. He won gold at the 2004 Athens Games and the 2016 Rio Games. He also won silver in the Tokyo Paralympics last year. He has now been honoured with India's third highest civilian award. "It was a different feeling because it's the first time in the history of India that a Paralympian is being conferred with this award," he said in an interview to NDTV.
