PSBs to tap new avenues for equity
Public sector banks are hungry for capital, but many of them would find it tough to raise money from the markets. Government holdings in at least six public sector banks have fallen close to the minimum of 51 per cent making it impossible to raise large amounts of capital from the equity markets.
