PSU banks assure govt of further rate cuts
In a clear sign that Pranab Mukherjee is simply acting as an interim finance minister, public sector banks walked away without any directives. Except, as one banker put it, the finance minister has warned to prepare for tougher times ahead and they should do everything they can to smoothen the ride.
