Qualcomm sees rapid growth in cheap tablets, smartphones

Paul Jacobs, chairman and CEO of Qualcomm, believes the flood of cheap computer tablets will extend the reach of mobile internet to a large segment of Indian users. He says the company is working with various chip manufacturers and is looking at various designs to get the smartphones towards the $50 range.
