Sunil Munjal, Joint MD, Hero Motocorp says that while hiking price was the only option for oil companies - IOC, BPCL, HPCL, the quantum of hike was surprising and added that it will further improve demand for diesel vehicles. "Deficit would have worsened if prices were not hiked," he said.
