Race horse jumps over fence, injures seven
Seven racegoers were severely injured when a horse jumped over a high fence into a crowd of about 50 spectators during the Grand Annual Steeplechase at Warrnambool racetrack on Thursday. Banna Strand veered off course on Thursday and jumped a 7-foot brush fence into the crowd. The horse was without a rider at the time after its jockey was thrown off earlier in the race.
