The BJP today hit out at Congress Vice President Rahul Gandhi for his remarks on Prime Minister Narendra Modi at a big farmers' rally in Delhi, saying he should "apologise to the people of India for insulting the most popular mandate this country has seen". Addressing a press conference, BJP leader and Union Minister Ravi Shankar Prasad said, "We condemn this brazen contempt against popular mandate." Mr Gandhi had launched a scathing attack on the government over the its proposed land reforms.
