Raid unearths milk adulteration scam
The Food and Drug Administration of Maharashtra raided five places in Andheri West, Mumbai and seized 1,000 litres of adulterated milk on Friday morning.Three people have been arrested, who are migrants from Andhra Pradesh. The culprits bought milk, poured out half the milk by punching a hole in the bag and filled it with water before resealing it.
Earlier this year, the FDA had revealed that nearly 25 per cent of the milk produced in the state was adulterated.
