Raigad villages to decide on Reliance SEZ
On Sunday, 22 villages in Maharashtra's Raigad district will tell the state government whether they want to give their land to Reliance Industries' Special Economic Zone (SEZ). The District Collector will record their opinions and send a report to the state. The 22 villages form over a third of the SEZ area which spans 45 villages. Opposition has been strongest because the land is located around a dam and is fertile.
