Rain Continues In Chandigarh For Second Consecutive Day
Heavy rainfall continued for a second consecutive day in Chandigarh on Sunday. The India Meteorological Department (IMD) had predicted heavy rains in Punjab, Haryana and Chandigarh till July 10. Farmers in the areas were advised to undertake measures to drain the excess water and not allow it to stagnate in the fields in order to avoid damage to paddy cultivation due to over-hydration and strong winds.
