Rain wreaks havoc in Konkan region; many trains cancelled
Heavy rainfall disrupts normal life in the Konkan region and in Ratnagiri in Maharashtra. Konkan Railways is badly hit with many trains cancelled after the ground under the tracks caved in near the Nivsar station. Many long distance trains have been cancelled too.
