Rajasthan Tables Coaching Centres Regulation Bills, Omits 2 Key Provisions
The Rajasthan government tabled the Rajasthan Coaching Centres Control and Regulation Bill 2025 in the Assembly. Repeated student suicides in the state had led to a demand for the regulation of the coaching industry to provide a stress-free environment. While the bill sets up an authority to regulate coaching and also provides for psychological counselling, it appears to be in a watered-down form compared to the original proposal. Two key provisions were omitted that have considerably weakened the bill.
