The textbook row in Rajasthan has deepened. Last year, India's first Prime Minister Jawaharlal Nehru was erased from Class 8 textbooks in Rajasthan. Now, Hindutva ideologue Veer Savarkar has overshadowed Jawaharlal Nehru and Mahatma Gandhi - he has been shown as above the two leaders in the struggle for freedom from British rule.
