Raje govt begins dialogue with Gujjars
With over 33,000 Gujjars, lodged in jails across Rajasthan, refusing to be let out till the government meets their demands, the Vasundhara Raje government has initiated dialogue with leaders of the community. The Gujjars launched an agitation on October 2 demanding that they be taken out of the OBC reservation list and given Schedule Tribe status instead.
