Ram Sethu not man-made: Govt
The Centre has told the Supreme Court that there is no evidence to prove the existence of characters or events in the Ramayana and the Ram Sethu is not a man-made structure.
The Sethusamudram shipping canal project has been seeing sporadic protests from Hindutva forces. The project, which is expected to cost Rs 2500 crore, was inaugurated by Prime Minister Manmohan Singh two years ago.
