Ravish Kumar On Migrants' Issue Being Left Out In PM Modi's Address To Nation

The Prime Minister has addressed the nation. Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman has presented the economic package for the MSME sector. But there has been no mention of the struggles of the migrant workers in the address to the nation. The prime minister did not talk about the hardships the labourers are enduring due to the nationwide lockdown. Are these labourers walking for any particular reason? They are walking hundred of kilometres barefoot in the scorching summer heat. Many of them are dying; either from exhaustion or in accidents. The failures of the government have forced them to undertake such long, arduous journey in the searing heat.
