RBI credit policy: Higher provisioning unpleasant surprise, say bankers
In its credit policy review, the Reserve Bank of India has asked banks to provide additional provisioning of 0.75 per cent against non-performing assets. At the bankers' press conference post the policy, KR Kamath, CMD of Punjab National Bank, has said that the additional provisioning is an unpleasant surprise.
