RBI Cuts Interest Rates For First Time In Nearly 5 Years To Boost Economy

The Reserve Bank of India (RBI) has reduced its key repo rate by 25 bps from 6.5 per cent to 6.25 per cent to boost the economy. The Monetary Policy Committee has unanimously decided to go ahead of with the rate cut, RBI Governor Sanjay Malhotra announced this morning.
