RBI favors savings rate deregulation, but bankers worry
In what sends a favorable signal for a large number of depositors, the RBI has said it is in favour of deregulating savings bank deposit rates. But bankers believe that industry is not yet mature to adapt to the competition that this deregulation could throw up.
