In an unprecedented move, 141 Opposition MPs have been suspended from Parliament in the last few days. The spree of suspensions began last week. After 79 Opposition MPs were suspended from the Parliament yesterday, as many as 49 members faced the same action today. With just three days left for the winter session to end, there appears to be total log jam with both sides adamant on their positions. The government will continue to finish its unfinished agenda and the remaining opposition MPs will continue with their demand for a statement from the Home Minister on the security breach on December 13. However, the big question remains: Can parliament function without an opposition?
