Refugees living in Tamil Nadu treated food lovers in Chennai with popular cuisines from their home countries. The UN Refugee Agency UNHCR initiated this as part of its World Refugee Day celebrations to develop their culinary skills into entrepreneurship opportunities.
Seen also as an attempt for inclusion, for local people it was an opportunity to also speak to and learn about refugees from Sri Lanka and Myanmar on their struggles and interventions required. NDTV's Sam Daniel spoke to refugees, organisers, local people, and commentators.
