Assam polls are less then three months away and what was seeming like a direct head on fight between the ruling BJP and allies with Congress-led Mahagathbandhan has turned into a three way battle with Akhil Gogoi's Raijor Dal and AASU-led Assam Jatiya parishad - the two regional political parties born out of the anti-CAA protests - forming a pre-poll alliance. Former AASU general secretary and President of the newly formed Assam Jatiya Parishad (AJP) Lurinjyoti Gogoi revealed that their main opponent would be the BJP that is pushing communal agenda and the Congress which has allowed illegal migrants to settle. He also said that the alliance would seek votes to protect the secularism, freedom of speech and against the Citizenship Amendment Act.
