Regions Across India Face Severe Heatwave
India has seen some very hot weather in the past few days and while summer temperatures have crossed the 40-degree mark earlier as well, Baripada in Odisha has been reporting temperatures of 44 degrees for days. Residents of Baripada are worried about the impact of the heat and climate change. The Mayurbhanj district is also home to Similipal Tiger Reserve and the heat is a worry as well as it increases chances of forest fires.
