As India celebrates its 70th year of Independence and remembers it heroes, there remain the many who stay unsung. Sub Inspector Rekha Mishra signed up with the Railway Protection Force with the intention of emulating her Army dad, but life had another path chosen for her. Today, Sub Inspector Mishra is hero for the families of 434 children whom she rescued from Mumbai's Chhatrapati Shivaji Terminus railway station. "Most of the runaway kids I rescue are depressed, or come to Mumbai lured by Bollywood, and they come here from all over the country," she said.
