Relief For Mumbaikars, Water Tanker Strike Called Off
In a major relief for Mumbaikars, the indefinite water tanker strike had finally ended after four days. The strike had affected water supply in several areas of Mumbai. The strike had hit water supply to commercial buildings, railways and construction projects as well. The tanker association (Mumbai Water Tankers Association MWTA) had gone on strike in protest against compliance requirements introduced under revised guidelines of the Central Ground Water Authority (CGWA).
