Relief For Tamil Nadu School Students, No Public Exams For Class V And VIII
In a huge relief for school students in Tamil Nadu, the state government has scrapped its earlier order mandating public exams for class five and eight students, ending its detention free system till class eight. Parents, academicians and activists were up in arms that the public exam system would make it stressful for students and would only encourage private coaching.
