Yati Narsinghanand, the religious leader who organised an event in Haridwar last month that called for the genocide of Muslims, was arrested for objectionable remarks on women, and not for hate speech at the Dharam Sansad or religious assembly, the police told NDTV a day after his arrest. He has been sent to 14 days of judicial custody. There was an armed coup at the Kashmir Press Club, the biggest organisation of journalists in the valley, and other top stories.
