It has been one of the bloodiest Ramzan in the history of Islam. Nothing and no one was spared, from Medina to Dhaka, infact it was Muslims who were killed in large numbers. The perpetrators, who owned up to the attacks, justified the killings in the name of religion. We ask: has terror got anything to do with religion? Or are fringe elements misinterpreting religious ideals for their own narrow gain? Closer to home, India has been able to ward off the surge in radicalisation yet there are concerns since one of the gunmen in Dhaka attack proclaimed that we was influenced by an Indian preacher Dr Zakir Naik. Previously there have been sporadic reports of Indians joining ISIS. Can religious leaders in India do more to protect Indians from such radicalisation?
