Remembering 1948 war hero, Brigadier Usman
The centenary celebrations for remembering Brigadier Usman have begun - the lionhearted Muslim officer who led from the front in the battlefield to recapture areas of Kashmir occupied by Pakistan in the 1948 war. Brigadier Usman rebuffed the temptation offered by Pakistan of making him army chief after the partition demonstrating unflinching patriotism and love for his country.
