President Ram Nath Kovind today posthumously awarded Ashok Chakra to Assistant Sub Inspector Babu Ram of the Jammu and Kashmir Police at the Republic Day parade. Babu Ram's widow Rina Rani and son Manik received the award from President Kovind.
