In Haryana the police in Khakhi was caught beating up a girl, for meeting a male friend in her own house. The policeman has been suspended, but his superiors claim he was sent to protect the girl. A young woman was thrashed by the policeman after a complaint by her neighbours that she had a male friend in her house.
