Congress respects the Supreme Court verdict in the Ayodhya case, party spokesperson Randeep Surjewala said today after the landmark judgement was delivered by the top court this morning. "It is the responsibility of each one of us to reaffirm our tradition of mutual respect and unity among all that has defined our society through the ages," Mr Surjewala said. A temple will come up on the 2.77 acres of disputed land in Ayodhya and the Central government has three months to set up a trust to build it, the Supreme Court has decided. A five-acre plot at an alternative site in Ayodhya will go for the building of a mosque.
