Rights Body Notice To Kerala Officials On Student's Death After NDTV Campaign
The top human rights body of the country has taken note of the NDTV campaign demanding justice for Chaithanya Kumari, who died on Saturday after attempting to take her life in December. Notices have been issued to the Kerala Chief Secretary and the Director General of Police and they have been asked to submit a report within a month.
In a statement, the Commission said it took suo motu cognisance of the amtter after media reports.
