Rizwanur case: Kolkata top cop removed
Bowing to overwhelming public pressure, Buddhadeb Bhattacharya on Wednesday finally transferred Police Commissioner Prasun Mukherjee, two deputy commissioners of police Gyanwant Singh and Ajay Kumar and two officers of the anti-rowdy squad for their role in the Rizwanur Rehman case. Just five days ago when he called on the grieving Rehman family, Bhattacharya had admitted that the police were wrong in interfering in Rizwanur-Priyanka marriage.
