Different instances have emerged from across the country of tigers travelling long distances, moving out of protected areas in search of fresh habitats, a sign of success but also a big challenge for the forest department that the big cats should not come into conflict with people along the way. There is the case of tigress Zeenat that had left Simplipal in Odisha and was tracked to West Bengal and finally brought back. Or the recent case of a young male tiger from Sariska in Rajasthan that travelled to nearby Dausa in Alwar where it unfortunately attacked 3 people. It was finally caught today and will be taken to a safer protected area.
