While Pandits still wait to return home, in remarks that have sparked a controversy, former Jammu and Kashmir chief minister Farooq Abdullah has said the "onus is on Pandits to come back". Mr Farooq, who said he has personally tried many times to bring the Pandits home, said that no one will go "with a begging bowl" to ask them to return.
