Row over book by PM's ex-aide: insider account or politically motivated?
It's a controversy that the government and Congress would desperately like to wish away in election season. Today, the Prime Minister's Office rubbished as "baseless and mischievous" the contention of former media adviser to PM, Sanjaya Baru, that PMO files were seen by Sonia Gandhi. The top leadership of the BJP has launched a multi-pronged strike on both the Congress president and Dr Manmohan Singh, calling the latter a remote controlled Prime Minister.
