Rs 1 per kg rice in Karnataka: Unviable scheme?
Chief Minister Siddaramiah says the launch of the 1 Rs per kg rice scheme fetch him a ticket to heaven. Many including the common man, the corporate sector and the opposition is calling this a political masterstroke by the Congress just ahead of the Lok Sabha polls. But a scheme that will cost more than 4000 crores to the state exchequer, is it viable?
