Pune-based horse-breeder Hasan Ali, accused of one of the biggest tax evasion scams in the country, has appeared before the Income Tax department in Mumbai. Hassan Ali - the man accused of multi-crore tax evasion and money laundering – may end up having to cough up an incredible penalty of Rs 40,000 crore to the tax department.
