RTI Activist Sujit Swami Wins a Battle For Refund Of Two Rupees From Railways

Kota-based RTI activist Sujit Swami claims to have won a battle with the Indian Railways for a refund of two rupees, which he says the railways had erroneously charged him for the cancellation of a wait listed ticket.

Swami says he fought this battle over a period of five years, which, according to him, has ultimately benefited 10 lakh passengers. As a result of his efforts, Swami claims the railways has begun the process of refunding an amount close to 2.43 crore rupees.
