The raging controversy over charges that the government is diluting India's Right to Information laws, refuses to die out. Though the RTI amendments bill was passed in the Lok Sabha, considerable political resistance has meant that the government has held back from introducing the Bill in the Rajya Sabha, where it is short of a majority.
