Rupee weakness limits RBI’s hands
DK Joshi, senior director and chief economist at CRISIL, talks to NDTV Profit about the sudden weakness in the rupee after the pair hit a lifetime low on Monday. Mr Joshi says that while lower inflation had given the RBI more room to cut rates, CRISIL believes the central bank may not cut rates now and will continue to watch rupee and inflation closely.
