Rwanda, Syria Set To Extend Decades-Long Authoritarian Rule

Today on India Global, Rwanda and Syria head to the ballots in elections that are set to strengthen the hold of their authoritarian governments. Rwandans are voting in a presidential election that is expected to extend the long rule of President Paul Kagame, who has held power since 1994. Meanwhile, in Syria, voters are electing 250 lawmakers to a parliament which has very little political power in Syria's presidential system. Watch this report by Dishha Bagchi to know more.
